Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound JUJU had last weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.
James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.
James explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."
Jack Smithr posted on Yelp a review about how Puppy Lux returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be more info aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James shared, "Jonny informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
